(: The 5 W’s & an H: A life of worship :)

Psalm 100 A psalm. For giving grateful praise.

-> Who? What? Where? When? Why? How? <-

1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

-> What is worship? “Make a joyful noise” (KJV) = shout!!

-> Who is involved? ALL the earth=God’s creation – to the Lord!

-> When should we worship? RIGHT NOW – always – ongoing!

2 Worship the LORD with gladness;

-> How should we worship? With gladness – SMILE!! “This is the day the LORD has made – we will rejoice!” (Ps. 118:24)…

come before Him with joyful songs. – …Go to Him intentionally with joy & singing.  Even if you think it’s noise, when your heart is before Him in worship it will be a sweet sacrifice of praise (Heb. 15:13).

3 Know that the LORD is God.

-> How should we worship? With knowledge… that HE is God with a capital G!

It is He who made us, and we are His;

-> Why do we worship? Because He created us and we are HIS…

we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. – …we belong to Him and He cares for us as our Shepherd!

4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving

-> Where & How do we worship? By thankfully opening the gates to His presence…

and His courts with praise; – …and entering His realm with *PRAISE*  (Yay God!  YOU are AWESOME!!)…

give thanks to Him and praise His name. – …and by giving thanks to Him by Name constantly (not just one special day a year in November)!

5 For the LORD is good and His love endures forever;

-> Why do we worship? He’s GOOD, and His love NEVER ends…

His faithfulness continues through all generations. – … and to the faithful He shows Himself faithful; to those with integrity He shows integrity (Ps. 18:25)… FOREVER!

-> Let’s worship HIM with a joyful noise! 🙂
