The Hand

The hand. Look for it. It’s there.

It’s in the middle of each moment – the middle of each trial – the middle of each joy.

the handLook for it when your heart is broken. Look for it when you’re alone. Look for it when you NEED the hand.

God’s strong hand – His RIGHT HAND – is there. Look for it. It’s there when you need HOPE and it’s there when you rejoice.

Look for it in the heartbreak – in the blessings – in the time of trial. Look for it when you need the answer – when you need courage – when you the extra measure of strength to carry you through.

Grab it when you need strength. Hold it when you’re at the end of your rope. Don’t let go.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Look up into the sky. His strong right hand is there.

Look beside you in the stillness. His strong right hand is there.

Look down where you feet need to go. His strong right hand is there.

Close your eyes in the darkness. His strong right hand is there.

For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Isaiah 41:13

Look at your right hand. It may be feeling weak, unsteady, unable to carry any more weight. It is your strong hand when you give it to God to hold.

psalm 139Fear not. He is the One Who helps you. He is the One Who formed you, planned you for a specific purpose, and wants you to trust Him to guide you. He wants to arm you with wisdom and grace for the journey, because that journey is one is specifically planned for you.

Whatever you are facing right now, look for His hand. Then look for yours, to grab hold of it. Two right hands – yours in the strong right hand of Almighty God.

Whatever it is you’re facing, look for the hand. Then hold it. Tightly. Let it take you through – to the other side.
